Recycling Perks, The Program

As of September 9th, 2018, the Recycling Perks contract for the City of Clearwater has expired.

The time that we’ve spent with the City and all of you has been a pleasure! Clearwater is a beautiful, dynamic city and we’re proud to have had the opportunity to help your city reach its recycling goals. You’ve shown us, and the City, how much you care about recycling. Over one-fourth of the City participated in our program, learning to be better recyclers and supporting local businesses!

Thank you…

To our members who have participated in our America Recycles Day campaigns and videos. To our members who actively commented on Recycling Perks’ facebook campaigns, especially your enthusiasm for nominating local non-profits for our Give Back Campaigns. To our members who became more avid recyclers because of the program. And to our members who never missed a pickup! We are proud of you all and hope that you continue to recycle and recycle better.

So, what happens now?

Although the program is ending, some things will remain the same or change slightly:

– Your recycling pick up will continue as usual

– Your points will never expire. You earned them!

– Continued opportunities to redeem your points at local businesses as long as the business continues to participate*

– Access to the Recycling Perks website and educational blog

– The Clearwater Recycling Perks Facebook page found at will become inactive. Like our Recycling Perks general Facebook page to continue seeing our interactive content and recycling tips!

*Businesses are no longer required to accept your reward but will not be removed from our website unless a business manager requests to be removed.

For any questions regarding the end of the program, please contact the City of Clearwater Solid Waste
